Welcome back to no man's sky, everyone Jason here and today, I'm going to show you how to become a hazard protection master in no man's sky, and it's actually pretty simple.
So, let's just jump right into it.
Okay! Now what you want to do is you want to go to the the space anomaly, because there's some blueprints: we're gonna need alright.
So, let's head back to the shops in the back and we'll find some upgrades ish we're gonna want to use now, once you get to the back, there's a whole bunch of different shop, so you could buy tons of upgrades.
This is like the most important like shop area in the game.
I think so we're gonna head over to the exosuit shop, because this person or this alien, this traveler sells us some awesome upgrades.
So let's buy them and don't mind their textures, not popping in we're gonna research, exosuit upgrades now you're gonna need nanite clusters.
In order to do this and we're gonna go under the hazard protection tree.
As you can see right here, you should have that one instantly unlocked from the get-go of the game, but then you have these sea level upgrades down here now.
I know what you're thinking.
Why are we wasting our time with sea level? Upgrades? Why don't you get the s level upgrades well, because these ones are actually really good.
They are way better than you guys, think.
Okay, I ignored them for a while and now I.
Don't know why I ignored them, but we'll get into that later.
So you're gonna want to get all of these okay.
So you have your hot you're, cold, you're toxic your radiation, and then you have your aeration membrane.
This is for breathing underwater and while you're here, if you don't have the shield, latus, definitely get your shield lattice.
Okay, so we're gonna get all those and now, let's show you what they could do.
Okay, so let's head down to a planet and I will show you what happens so once you've landed on a planet with a temperature or a atmosphere that is harmful to you.
That is hazardous.
You're gonna see on your display over on the left side, because I have three upgrades, you can see, I have three different boxes and because this is a hot planet, it is my heat protection for my hazardous protection.
Okay, if we go into my my my exosuit, you see, I have my three protections right here and these are the ones you buy from the space station.
These are the s-class thermal protection upgrades.
I put three of them in there, so I can get the most out of it and then I've popped, my coolant network, the ones we just bought the blueprint I could put them on top of there.
That's the only way to get more than three upgrades.
Okay, same thing with you, like you see your jetpack right here, you could have three of the ones you buy from Space Station and then you could put as many blueprints as you want from you know if you can make them so, if I go over here like right here, you see how I have that set up.
I have three upgrades for my life support and then I have my blueprint right here.
That's why it's a level C, but you want to keep those because they work.
They might be a lower level, but they do amazing things and I'll show you that, just in a second so back to hazard protection, I have three of them right now.
I have three of the ones you buy, and you see how this one right.
Now it's slowly going down and right now the temperature is only one hundred and thirty-four, so it's kind of on the low end for a hot planet.
So, depending on how hot it gets like during an extreme storm where it gets up to 500 degrees, it'll go down faster than this okay, so this is more like the low end baseline, where I tested this.
Now it's going down slowly so yeah I'm at 40%, now I'm at 38 it'll go down slowly and what I realized is when you have three of them lined up like this.
Each one of these upgrades will last three minutes and 25 seconds, and so this one will last three minutes.
25 seconds and then, when this one's depleted down to zero it'll move to the next one, and that one will last three minutes and 25 seconds and so on and so on up to three okay.
But if you knock this down to two, you only have two of these upgrades right here that actually lowers your overall time, so each one will only last three minutes and 12 seconds, so you get an additional 12 seconds if you add another upgrade.
So when you have three of these upgrades there 325, if you only, if you only have two upgrades, they will last three minutes in 12 seconds and if you only have one upgrade, it will last three minutes flat and that again, that's only at this temperature, if it's hotter or if it's cooler, it'll last varying levels, but I've noticed that there is a a 12 second increase.
Alright.
So there is an increase, the more upgrades you have together.
So if that's the route you want to go with by all means, do it but I don't like having all these upgrades.
Cuz I mean look.
I have test sit on all of them and that's the exact same thing: they all increased, the more upgrades you have, the more the longer they each will last, but it takes up so much room I mean look at this.
Basically a quarter or a third.
Almost of my.
My suit is just dedicated to hazard, protection and I.
Don't want to deal with that.
So I thought.
Okay, let's throw in this coolant Network, because under stats it says heat resistance, plus 21%, so wouldn't that you would think that would increase your upgrades right.
It does not this B or C level.
Blueprint does not affect this at all.
These upgrades are not affected by your blueprint.
What it does affect is your overall hazard protection, so once you've gone through these upgrades, then it starts hurting you overall.
So let's get rid of these ones.
So, let's say, I didn't I only had one upgrade so we'll pop that one off and we'll pop that one off so now, I'm on my regular toxic protection or a hazard protection, you see how my meters going down, but what I realized is that it goes down slower.
If I have this blueprint on I'm gonna move this cuz, it bothers me.
So if you have him together like this, it has this B blueprint does not affect your your s-class upgrade.
It affects your regular hazard protection and so it'll increase your normal protection from the heat, and so that's actually really really good.
So once this protection is gone once your upgrade protection is gone, then your normal protection kicks in, and your normal protection will last 21% longer on your heat.
It goes for all of them.
All of them will make you last 21% longer, and what does that mean? Well, let's do this right now, I'm gonna last 9 minutes in 22 seconds.
Let's fill it up all the way, so it also what I noticed is that it should be a regular hazard protection, but there's a glitch and I hope they fix this.
There's a glitch in it too, where, if you have multiple different protections, you'll notice that my my air is going down.
My microbubble lung replacements going down I'm, not using air I'm, not breathing in water right.
It's because there's a weird glitch, and instead of going bouncing back to your hazard protection, it'll start on the right corner, it'll to use this protection and then it'll use this one.
Well, actually it'll kill this one.
So, but if you take this one away, it'll go over to the next one, so it'll go whatever ones in the the top right corner of your protections.
It'll use that one okay! So don't freak out it's because my hazard protection is still at 100% I'm, like whoa.
But if you look at my meter, it's down lower, what's going on there, it's because it's using my breathing module, no, no using that one! Okay, so it'll switch between you know whatever one it's a weird glitch, but don't worry.
This is technically your hazard protection.
Okay, so you'll just have to fill this up.
Watch this boom and now I'm at 100% again all right.
So how much time does it actually give you well again at 133 degrees, which is kind of on the low end? If you pull up your analyzer, your analysis, visor over on the left side, I'll, say: temperature 133 degrees, critical exposure, which means that's when your hazard protection runs out.
I have nine minutes.
I can run around before I start taking damage, that's a pretty long time, but what happens if I take it off like what happens when I delete my upgrade my heat resistance, plus 21%? So now it's gone.
What am I at now, seven 24 23, and so you get an extra about two and a half minutes which is about 20%.
So you get an extra two minutes of protection which is crazy, but it's just from that one upgrade.
So, let's install the upgrade so the blueprint for all your blueprints are the same.
So in case you haven't done this, yet you go to install technology and then you choose, whichever one you want to put in there.
I want to put in the hazard protection for heat and so I'll pop it in there.
Now, when you've done, that it doesn't actually install it.
It's blinking blue.
That means you still have to put the ingredient, and so that's just in case you don't have the ingredients like if you don't have the phosphorus, the silver or the copper, and you need 150 phosphorous, 60 silver and 75 copper in order to fully install this technology, and so in order to do that, you're gonna have to put in all these items: okay, boom boom boom, and now it's fully installed- and you see I put it next to my heat because it gives it a bonus.
You see how there's a white highlight there.
I watch I could you could actually move it.
So if you put it in the wrong spot like say I wanted to put it down here like hey, I want to put it down there.
It's there's no white highlight around it.
There's no white box: you want to put them together that way, Thursday a little bit of a bonus.
So you get a little extra time if it's put together with all your other hazard protections.
Alright, so there's another thing you need to do so to maximize your hazard protection.
That's what you want to do now in my case, I, don't want to use up three slots because technically you still have to refill each one of these with materials refill materials, so whether you have one or three you'll just have to either refill one or refill all three.
So what I've done and what I've done is I've maxed to maximize my room in my my exosuit, what I plan on doing is I'm gonna get rid of these two and just keep my regular 21 percent.
Upgrade that way.
My regular hazard protection will last 21 percent longer plus I have that extra protection, so I have a buffer right here.
It'll use up this upgrade first, so it'll use up my heat first and then it'll bounce over to your hazard to protection.
Your normal hazard protection.
That way, you don't have to use all the room and you still have a ton of protection.
Now, however, you feel comfortable if you want to go all out and have three of them like this.
That's totally doable and I mean you'll.
Last a long long time before you have to actually refill either way.
You're gonna be using the same amount of materials like it doesn't cost less.
The more upgrades you have you're still using the same amount, but instead of just one you're refilling, all three and so either way you're going to be using the same I thought.
Maybe they would give you a an increase in you know aura.
It would make it cheaper to refill it's not cheaper to refill.
So that's.
Why are you stuck okay? So hopefully this gave you guys some good tips on your hazard protections and how to do it.
This is how I'm gonna run my suit from now on, I'm gonna have a regular protection and then my 21% increase now breathing is 34%, so you get a little bit more of a bump, but again it's only on your regular break breathing.
It doesn't affect your upgrade all right and so and again I.
Don't know why it's doing that it should bounce back to your Hazzard, regular hazard protection, but for whatever reason it goes over to the top right hand, corner and it'll just keep moving over so and it'll kill you once my micro bubbles, our replay are out.
It'll start yours, you'll start taking damage, so just keep that in mind.
They're, probably gonna put out a patch to fix that.
But don't worry.
This is literally my normal protection top.
Now we have a storm brewing so I'm now at 204 degrees, which means my hazard protections going down even faster.
So keep that in mind the hotter, the planet, the faster it'll go down.
So hopefully you guys like this video.
If you did hit that like button for me and if you want to see more subscribe to the channel I'm uploading videos, all the time and I will see you guys next time.
